9th Annual Calcutta - new location, same great time!

The 9th annual Calcutta has been scheduled for October 20th at Blush Hill Country Club in Waterbury. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and by far the most fun. Tickets are on sale now and are $100 per ticket which includes a Calcutta ball, dinner for 2 and music and dancing.

All travel team families are responsible to purchase or sell at least 1 ticket and are encouraged to sell additional ones if possible. The fundraising we do throughout the year help keep our registration costs low for families so we welcome any additional help to make theses successful. If you haven't yet done so,  contact Amy Ribera (fundraiser@harwoodhockey.org) to get your ticket reserved.

House Mite and Initiation families are encouraged come to the event and get to know your Hockey families!! If you would like a ticket, please email me at: fundraiser@harwoodhockey.org

Once you have your ticket there is a stub that needs to be returned to me so we can get an accurate headcount. Please return stubs to the box outside the Ice Centers Office no later than October, 13th.

We are always looking for great prizes to add to our raffles and Calcutta drawing. If you have a business or work for one that is willing to donate an item, please let me know asap. Part of the Calcutta's success is the great prizes we receive from our local businesses and families.

Congratulations to HYH 12U T4 and 10U T3 teams!

Harwood Youth Hockey had a busy Saturday at the Vermont State Tournament Finals in St. Albans on Saturday, March 3rd!

The 12U Tier 4 team beat CSB 4-3 in overtime to win the 12U Tier 4 title. They were ahead 1-0 after the first period only to get behind after the second 2-3. The team dug deep and scored in the third to tie the game and send it into overtime. Charly Seitz netted the final goal to secure the title. Way to go Harwood!

The 10U Tier 3 team went ahead 1-0 against Milton, who then tied it up in the 2nd period. Neither team was able to get the puck past the ourstanding goaltenders at both ends. It wasn't until the 2nd overtime period when Milton got it through the posts. Its was a well played game and we all are so proud of our Harwood players!
